What is Mediation?

Mediation is a process which allows disputing parties to resolve their conflict with the assistance of an impartial third party. This neutral, called a mediator, does not dictate a solution, but helps each party express their interests, talk productively, and create the opportunity for agreement.

What Conflicts Can Be Mediated?

  • Church congregational disputes

  • Personnel grievances

  • Child custody or visitation disputes

  • Business and Organizational conflicts

  • Family disputes about estates or nursing home care

  • Discipline of teenage children

  • Disputes between farmers and lenders about
    delinquent loans.

Why Mediation?

Mediation is the least expensive and quickest way to resolve conflicts. Mediation allows you to control decisions which will effect your life. Mediation increases communication skills and enhances future cooperation. Mediation is confidential, so your privacy is protected.
